SEMINARS at UFSCar

During June and as part of the 15th anniversary celebration of the NIASE (UFSCar), in partnership with the Graduate Program in Science and Mathematics Education (PPGEdCM / UFSCar), Dr. Aitor Gómez, Dr. Rosa Valls and Dr. Iñaki Santa Cruz were involved in different seminars such as “Dialogue Feminism , New Masculinities and Preventive Socialization of Gender Violence in Universities”, pointing out their research results and findings. Saleacom researchers also visited schools as Learning Communities.

Saleacom partners visit the Learning Community Mare de Deu de Montserrat Primary School (Terrassa, Spain)

On 24th of October 2015, Dr. Lorri Santamaria and Sharona Jayavant from University of Auckland visited the Primary School Mare de Deu de Montserrat, a Learning Community which is implementing Successful Educational Actions (SEA) for over 10 years. The researchers participated in two of the SEA the school is carrying out: Interactive Groups and Dialogical Literary Gatherings. These SEAs are contributing to overcome the educational exclusion experienced by children belonging to vulnerable groups such as immigrants or Roma.

Visit to the Learning Community Arthur Natalino Deriggi. Sao Carlos (Sao Carlos, Brazil).

On 1st of September 2015, Dr. Silvia Molina and Dr. Joan Cabré from University Rovira i Virgili visited the Arthur Natalino Deriggi Adults School, a Learning Community located in a disadvantaged neighborhood in Sao Carlos, Brazil. The aim of the visit was to gain further evidence on the transferability of successful educational actions and the learning communities’ project to different contexts.
